Responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with enquiries that come in through website, social media, email and by phone
  • Taking bookings and sending confirmation emails and pre-course information
  • Communicating with Schools to book and confirm Bikeability training for their students
  • Setting up courses, registering learners, getting them set up on the online portal
  • Undertaking a wide variety of administration duties
  • Assisting with setting up and running children’s Summer holiday clubs
  • Assist with maintaining up-to-date records for Health & Safety, risk assessments and accreditations
  • Assisting with marketing and social media campaigns
  • Taking on projects as required

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Good organisational skills and able to prioritise a varied workload
  • Good communication skills

Personal qualities

  • An interest in either cycling, coaching or sport in general would be an advantage
  • Happy to work in a very informal and non-corporate environment (We are based at Phillips Park and wear casual outdoor wear to work every day)
  • Must be willing to muck in and get your hands dirty sometimes
  • Proactive approach
  • Confident when dealing with colleagues and customers
  • Positive attitude

Desired qualifications

Must have both GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.

A sport or coaching qualification (or equivalent) would be an advantage but definitely not essential.

Future prospects

We are looking for someone who shares our values and vision to complete the initial apprenticeship and progress with us into a more diverse role that will include opportunities to train as a Cycling Instructor if you so wish.
