On the job training which will be broken down and delivered in 3 phases to include the following;
Phase 1 Training
- Greet / book in patients and answering their queries in a polite and courteous manner
- Answering the telephone, booking appointments and answering any other queries that patients ask ensuring brief record kept of conversation
- To aid the GP’s in any way to help the clinics run smoothly
- Take messages and pass to relevant people accurately and correctly
- Preparing internal mail for collection
- Ensure that all samples are dealt with by the appropriate person and ready for collection at 9.20am and 2.30pm
- To help keep reception desk and waiting room area clean and tidy
- Make sure specimens are ready and available at reception for collection
- Ensure DNA are dealt with on a daily basis as per First Health policy
Phase 2 Training
- Scan incoming mail and allocate equally to appropriate clinical team members
- To complete all reception Task/Pathology tasks by the end of the day
- Allocate all blood result via the links equally to Dr’s first thing in the morning
- Ensure patients are booked in for Qof recalls
- Ensure recalls requests are monitored and appointments booked
- Urgent temporary residence and registrations are completed
- Urgent prescription request are actioned
Phase 3 Training
- Registrations of new patient
- Deduction and links via system
- Summarising patients' records
- Referrals/incoming mail
- Audits
- Prescription requests processing
