The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a brand new kitchen complete with a new Charvet cooking suite. The pub has recently reopened under new management, meaning it is a completely blank slate, so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the sous and head chef to create regularly changing, seasonal menus and dishes. As well as organising and planning seasonal events, supper clubs, parties etc.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating menu items, recipes and dishes
  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within a speciality section
  • Preparing meat and fish
  • Assisting with management of health and safety

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English are an advantage but not essential. This will be assessed at the start of the qualification.

NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in Catering is essential.
