  • To assist in the set up and maintenance of all restaurant service areas
  • To assist in the receipt of deliveries
  • To assist in the welcoming of customers to the restaurant. All enquires made in person or over the phone must be handled to the standards of the Company
  • To take orders, serve food and prepare and serve drinks to customers
  • To notify the Manager or his/her deputy where stocks/supplies are low
  • To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with statutory and/or Company Health and Safety requirements, including food hygiene regulations
  • To adhere to all company standards in every interaction with customers, external suppliers and colleagues
  • To manage all payment transactions in accordance with the company financial policies and procedures and to handle all transactions with diligence, honesty and integrity

Things to consider

You will be required to work weekends. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. Small family run business. 40 seater restaurant in a 600 year old church. MORNING COFFEE: Full range of freshly brewed coffees with a slice of homemade cake or tiffin BREAKFAST: From a full English to a slice of toast or a hot buttered crumpet. FULL LUNCH MENU: Try our fresh fish and chips or a delicious homemade pie. Maybe some homemade soup and fresh bread. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available.
