You will learn about the business providing support within Corporate Services team which will involve the day to day running of the office and also administration support within the Finance, HR, Marketing, IT, Health and Safety and Project Management functions.

The Applicant that we are looking for must be organised, professional, have a good eye for detail, possess a high standard of English and maths, keyboard and computer skills, be willing to learn and thrive on getting a job done well. The Applicant should also be comfortable/interested in modern technology/IT as they will be heavily involved in an upcoming IT review project for the business.
A brief example of the duties would be:
- Telephone calls and messages
- Receive guests/deliveries to the office
- Errands
- E-filing
- Assist with implementation of new office software
- Basic IT tasks (software and hardware)
- Accurate data entry
- Draft emails/letters
- Spreadsheets
- Assist with invoicing
- Ordering materials
- Liaise with colleagues and clients
- Arranging meetings
- Research
- Proofreading
Due to this very varied role, applicants must have a ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to turn their hand to any admin task required. For the right Applicant this role can be tailored to suit the strengths of the individual, so the Applicant could well play a key part in the future development of the Corporate Services team.
Full on the job training will be provided to enable to successful applicants to undertake all duties required.

Desired skills
- Confident and clear communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for this role as you will need to talk to customers and liaise with colleagues on a daily basis. The ability to use your own initiative and be proactive in your work is also important
- Basic IT skills, particularly with regard to the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook are needed for this role

Desired qualifications
No specific qualifications are required however you will be required to demonstrate your Level of English and maths during your initial assessment with Prostart Training before being considered for the position.

Things to consider
This is a varied and busy role including general administrative and customer-focused work to include receiving and making telephone calls and writing emails to customers and colleagues. As with all roles within the team, it will be extremely varied, and no two days will ever be the same, so someone with solid all-round administration experience would be ideal but training will be provided for the right person. The role will also involve financial duties (eg invoicing) so an eye for the detail is essential! The candidate should be interested in modern technology as they will be heavily involved in an upcoming IT review project.

The successful candidate will complete a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship standard:
- Level 3 Business Administrator Standard
- Functional Skills Level 2 in maths - if applicable
- Functional Skills Level 2 in English - if applicable
Knowledge-based off the job training will take place during the 18 months of the Apprenticeship. The Apprentice will complete a minimum 20% off the job training during the Apprenticeship.
