We are looking for a friendly, patient nursery assistant to support our existing team with the care of the children. The nursery assistant will be responsible for planning and organising a range of stimulating and educational activities throughout the day.

To work individually and as part of a team under the direction of the Team Leader to ensure the total care of children through planning, organising and implementation of age stage appropriate activities, interacting and engaging with children to support development. Supporting team in room. Caring for children ages between 3 months - 4.5 / 5 years. General cleaning and tiding room, resources and equipment.
The successful candidate may also be responsible for the following:
- Creating and maintaining a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children
- Adhering to all safeguarding requirements of the nursery and looking after the welfare of the children
- Devising activities, both indoors and outdoors, to encourage ongoing learning and social interactions
- Acknowledging the individual needs of the children, including those who need additional support and care
- Preparing snacks and drinks, and supervising children during meals
- Changing nappies or assisting children with using the toilet when required
- Reporting any concerns to supervisors regarding a child’s emotional state or development

The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.
This qualification is structured around the following four themes:
- Health and well-being
- Legislation, frameworks and professional practice
- Play, development and learning for school readiness
- Professional development
Apprentices must successfully complete the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid. (RQF) or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) Or complete a first aid course delivered by one of the following types of organisations as per the EYFS requirements. Voluntary aid society, member of trade body with an approval and monitoring system, or acknowledged by the Health and Safety Executive.
