Must have or be working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) or a Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations.

Duties will include:

  • Carry out machinery moves as directed to meet line change and balancing requirements of each production unit
  • Maintain machinery standards in order to achieve the required quality and output standards
  • To ensure adequate stocks of spare parts and needles are available to cover breakdowns and production consumable requirements
  • To maintain a preventative maintenance schedule and carry out preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery as directed and scheduled
  • To record and minimise production downtime to agreed target levels
  • Carry out safety check on all necessary machinery and equipment as directed and scheduled in compliance with HSE guidelines
  • To assist Site Services in building and facility maintenance, (electrics, heating, lighting and building), to the agreed company standard, thus complying with HSE guidelines
  • To assist in the sourcing of new and second-hand machinery, and related mechanical equipment, as and when required to satisfy production requirements
  • To assist Site Services in the coordination of contractors in specialist areas, e.g. electricians, heating, air conditioning etc. 
  • To assist Site Services in the security arrangements for the site in accordance with company policy and police regulations
  • To assist Site Services in the upkeep of all emergency services (e.g. fire alarm sprinkler system, break glass points, PA buttons and emergency lighting) and are maintained in accordance with Company policy, fire/security regulations and HSE guidelines
  • To assist Site Services in the coordination of all waste stream management effectively and to HSE guidelines
  • To ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to, creating a safe working environment
  • To promote and deliver excellent housekeeping standards and maintain at all times
  • Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management
