Duties will include:
- Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Assist with the care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs
- Play a part in their education, health and wellbeing and be able to build and maintain close working relationships with parents and colleagues
- Inspire, plan and create learning activities for children under the EYFS curriculum including outdoor activities
- Observe and keep an up to date record of achievement file on key children, for parents/carers, including learning logs and personal profiles
- Respect the confidentiality of information received
- Support all staff and actively engage as a positive member of the team

- Ideally GCSE maths and English grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent
- Applicants without this will be considered but will need to undertake a functional skills programme at Yeovil College as part of their training

The aim of Yeovilteenies Day Nursery is to provide good quality childcare, for children aged between 3 months and 5 years, for service and civilian personnel employed at Yeovilton. The building is purpose built to provide a safe and stimulating environment and has a large safe outdoor area.
The nursery is located at the little Yeovilton site, which is on the northern side of the B3151.
The premises and equipment have been inspected by Early Years Ofsted and comply with the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
