MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS AND DUTIES
All responsibilities, tasks and duties to be carried out in line with College guidelines and policies.
The provision of in-class support, particularly for students identified as requiring assistance to access the curriculum with an emphasis on:
- Assisting, modifying or adapting student tasks and curriculum materials as directed by the class teacher
- Support students who have access arrangements for exams
Supporting student progress outside lessons with an emphasis on:
- Contributing to students’ Individual Learning Profiles
- Facilitating and helping to run break, lunch and after college clubs to support student progress
Supporting the wider SEND team and Student Welfare team, with an emphasis on:
- Attending departmental meetings and liaising with class teachers, as appropriate regarding supporting specific students
- Attending INSET training days and external courses and when required, disseminating information gained to colleagues
