What will you be doing?

As an Apprenticeship Food and Beverage, you are responsible for welcoming guests and working across several areas of Food and Beverage your placement to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. An Apprenticeship Food and Beverage will also be required to manage guest queries.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Able to work in all areas of Food and Beverage including Bar, Restaurant, Events & weddings and spa
  • Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
  • Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service
  • Prepare set ups for tables
  • Follow cash handling procedures
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Up-sell with latest departmental incentives
  • Ensure compliance of brand standards
  • Strive to achieve departmental targets
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Comply with local licensing laws
  • Be environmentally aware
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

Yes. After you have passed the course, you may be offered a promotion to the position of supervisor. Currently £9.91 per hour.

Things to consider

  • Due to the rural location do you have your own form of transport to commute? Or can you easily get lifts from friends or family? There are no buses at night
  • You will be expected to work evenings and weekends
  • £1000 bonus on completion of your apprenticeship
