- Reception duties including answering the telephone in a timely manner and professional manner
- Greeting Customers and making them welcome
- Opening the post daily
- Entering on to Sage daily timesheets, daily shift reports, on line inspection reports.
- Creation of sales order/call off documents and processing of paperwork to completion
- Creation of Purchase orders on Sage and processing confirmations
- Chasing Purchase orders for delivery by liaising with Suppliers
- Liaising with Suppliers regarding product prices and delivery
- Electronically filing Certificate of Conformity
- Ordering stationery supplies
- Issuing Welding and Transport job numbers
- Prepare beverages and Customer lunches
- Making Travel arrangements
- Making arrangements for Sales Events
- Receive purchase invoices and file in Purchase invoice file for the month
- Receive supplier statements and check against payments due and alert Suppliers of any invoices not received
- Process new Supplier accounts and create new Suppliers on Sage
- Credit check and create new Customer accounts on Sage
- Send out electronic and paper Sales Invoices
- Log employee hours for payroll purposes
- Issue pay slips
- Maintain the Employee Handbook with updates
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
- Previous experience in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook would be an advantage
- Applicants should be able to pay attention to detail, pleasant telephone manner and they should be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
- A smart appearance is essential as applicants will be required to wear our Company uniform
- Applicants should be capable of multi tasking
Personal qualities
- The applicant should be punctual, hardworking, enthusiastic, keen to learn and not worried about asking questions
- Applicants should be able to work individually, using skills learnt and also their initiative as well as part of a team
Desired qualifications
- The applicant should have gained qualifications in maths and English

Things to consider
- Arriva Bus number 6 to Harlow Hospital then a 15 minute walk
- May be long periods at the computer
- Applicants should be aware they are not working in an Office full of people as we are spread out over 4 buildings – they may be on their own for periods of time during the day
