  • Working alongside our workshop engineer using drawing’s and operational procedures for manufacturing our products
  • Shape the materials using the appropriate methods and techniques
  • Join the material using the appropriate methods and techniques

The successful applicant will work towards the General Welder (arc processes) Level 2 apprenticeship standard.

Following enrollment, learners engage in a blended programme of training and support that will include attendance at group training sessions on a day release (or block release) basis, work-based learning, email and face-to-face support from their trainer/assessor as well as a programme of training devised by the employer.

The length of the programme is 18 months.

The apprenticeship training is made up of the following;

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours - Learners and employers will have a range of options to select from that cover each knowledge module of the apprenticeship standard.

Functional Skills - These provide practical skills to help gain the most out of work, education and everyday life. Learners will complete written and online tests.

End point assessment - The End Point Assessment is the final stage of the apprenticeship. It comprises written and practical tests as well as a professional dialogue and interview.
