The successful applicant will be responsible for the following roles and responsibilities:
- Working alongside our workshop engineer using drawing’s and operational procedures for manufacturing our products
- Shape the materials using the appropriate methods and techniques
- Join the material using the appropriate methods and techniques
There will be potential for the successful individual to grow in the company and expand their knowledge and skills further with additional training and qualifications.

There is the opportunity for the candidate to be employed on a full-time basis as a Welder/Fabricator within our manufacturing workshop.

The successful applicant will work towards the General Welder (arc processes) Level 2 apprenticeship standard.
Following enrollment, learners engage in a blended programme of training and support that will include attendance at group training sessions on a day release (or block release) basis, work-based learning, email and face-to-face support from their trainer/assessor as well as a programme of training devised by the employer.
The length of the programme is 18 months.
The apprenticeship training is made up of the following;
Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours - Learners and employers will have a range of options to select from that cover each knowledge module of the apprenticeship standard.
Functional Skills - These provide practical skills to help gain the most out of work, education and everyday life. Learners will complete written and online tests.
End point assessment - The End Point Assessment is the final stage of the apprenticeship. It comprises written and practical tests as well as a professional dialogue and interview.
