Principle Role & Responsibilities:
- Machining of complex parts on 5 axis mazak machinery as part of our team
While at the AMRC TrainingCentre
Units could include:
- Producing components using hand fitting techniques
- Manual techniques (turning and milling)
- Preparing and using lathes for turning operations
- Preparing and proving CNC machine tool programs
- Preparing and using CNC machines (turning and milling).

- High personal standards in terms of commitment
- This should translate into excellent attendance and compliance with our company activities regarding Health and Safety and Lean manufacturing
- It is desirable that candidates will be as local as possible
Personal qualities
- Friendly, polite and a good team player with a "can do will do approach"
Desired qualifications
- A minimum of GCSE's at grade 5 (or C) or above, in mathematics, English and a science, technology or engineering-related subject
- Applicants are also required to undertake a series of assessments at the AMRC Training Centre before being offered a place on an apprenticeship
Future prospects
Completion of this apprenticeship is just the start of your career and can open the door to many more opportunities, such as Engineering Management and Project Engineering positions across a range of sectors.
Things to consider
- During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study
- One Friday per month you will return to your workplace
- After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study
- The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job

Incorporated in Sheffield 1982, Evenort's commitment to a continuous process towards manufacturing excellence, has established the company as a reliable partner in the processing of Stainless Steel. The company specializes in pressure retaining parts made from Stainless Steel and higher grades. Typically these parts will have flange geometry and incorporate other more complex features such as milled flats and threaded holes. The parts will also be to tight tolerances in many instances. The company has the most modern of machinery which is almost exclusively Mazak 5 axis and includes robot cells in a clean factory which is accredited to the highest safety standards.
