Detailed responsibilities:

  • Assist despatch team in the assembly and palletising of goods for customer orders and stock
  • Assist despatch team, contribute to assembly and palletising of goods to meet assigned labour times and quality requirements as instructed by Line Manager
  • Assist with identification and reporting of any quality issues identified in final assembly
  • Produce work to best of ability to comply with the requirements of manufacturing BOM and drawings and stated manufacturing tolerances.
  • Ensure that goods are stacked in accordance with FSP guidelines and parameters
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as instructed (only when trained and authorised to do so)
  • Maintenance of stock yard and locations
  • Assist with visual inspection of yard pallet racking to FSPs work instruction TBT 137. Inform Line Manager immediately of any unsafe acts that require immediate and further attention
  • Assist despatch staff with organising of goods returned from galvanising for further processing (assembly)
  • Help to maintain stock locations, checking that designated areas are clearly demarked and take part in audit checks od products against locations
  • Help to ensure that all stock items for these locations are stored in an organised and efficient manner
  • Sweep goods yard as directed and ensure that all rubbish and disguarded packaging materials are processed into the correct recycling bins
  • Return and damaged pallets to the assigned location outside of the yard for pallets to be returned for recycling is maintained in a safe and organised manner
  • Ensure that all pallets assembled ready for despatch are clearly labelled (corresponding with the shipping note) ** special requirements are checked and all shipping paperwork is correctly signed and filled**
  • Assist with checking off of galvanised goods returned from the supplier, carrying out visual inspection of goods and pallets notify Line Manager of any missing/damaged items or discrepancies
  • PI (Perpetual Inventory) Cycle counting of stock items
  • Assist with daily cycle counting as instructed
  • Assist with labelling of stock items, helping to ensure items are clearly demarked and in the correct location
  • Assist Line Manager with inspection and receiving of goods inwards
