Reporting to the Owner, responsibilities include:

  • Preparing work areas
  • Adhering to food hygiene regulations
  • ​​​​​​Assist in the preparation of meat - cutting, boning and trimming
  • Assist with preparation of cooked meats, pies & sausages
  • Arranging the shop counter display
  • Serving customers
  • Offering advice to customers on meat selection and preparation
  • Managing the online customer orders
  • Keeping to deadlines
  • Shop housekeeping
  • Other duties as and when required.

In-house training from employer supported by Sheffield College.

�The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is �3.40 per hour (raising to �3.50 per hour 1st April 2017). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.�
