Duties and responsibilities will include:
- To provide basic technical support in line with the school’s ICT technical support service for teaching and learning and school administration
- To assist the Network and Media Manager in developing a culture across the school of care for equipment and resources
- To assist the Network and Media Manager in meeting the high levels of customer service required to support the school
- To check and maintain the school’s ICT resources for safe, effective use by pupils and staff
- To maintain up to date records of all support requests and the subsequent action taken
- To maintain up to date records of hardware and software expenditures via the IT Asset Register
- Investigate requests for support; record diagnostic information, retrieve details of similar requests and either resolve or escalate to the appropriate level
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and carry out basic safety checks in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines
- Raise awareness among staff, students and other users of Health & Safety procedures
- Update installed hard- and software records; maintain a software library and store original copies of installed applications
- Follow school backup, virus protection and security procedures
- Purchase consumables and maintain stocks following school procedures
- To support the Network and Media Manager in developing and maintaining the Cantell Brand Image
- Participate in training for the range of work undertaken within the School’s Support Team
- Undertake duties to support the range of work undertaken within the School’s Support Team
- To demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly, sometimes outside of normal hours, in response to service demands and School events, as agreed with the Network and Media Manager
- To perform such other tasks as may reasonably be required by the School
