The role will involve being placed with a senior engineer/mentor throughout your training period, on the job training is provided throughout and you will be field based dealing with a vast range of different customers and systems within homes, businesses, schools, and industrial sites.

Duties will include:

  • Shadowing a senior engineer on maintenance and installation tasks and work towards your qualification
  • Organise van tools and equipment for the day’s work ahead
  • Assisting other engineers to complete work tasks, by loading and un-loading vans, meeting onsite, planning tasks for installation and service
  • Assist in the installation of cabling and security/fire alarm systems at domestic and commercial sites
  • Work within a team to provide excellent service and quality, using good communication

Skills for Security training:

  • Completing all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gathering any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
