Supervisors are vital to support management teams and can independently supervise hospitality services and run shifts, so the ability to think on their feet is important. They typically work well under pressure delivering top-class customer service, and the ability to motivate a team is essential to their role. The core set of supervisors’ skills and knowledge are the same regardless of the setting, but supervisors may specialise in specific functions or work across a variety of areas of the business reflecting the multifunctional nature of the industry.

Duties will include:

  • Supervising a team of staff
  • Ensuring staff are managed effectively and meeting targets
  • Completing mandatory health and safety requirements and training 
  • Building a good relationship with customers
  • Running shifts

  • Master of your class. Show your passion for the brand to every customer and convey what makes us unique
  • Deal with any issues head-on; your action will set the standards for the rest of the team. Practice transparency and use effective communication to deal with the curveballs thrown your way
  • Enjoy the energy and pace of a restaurant. Happy to be on your feet all day and shift through the gears when the demand dictates a little more haste. Show your team the way
  • Use our systems and structures to deliver A to B

Progression from this apprenticeship could be into a hospitality management position.

Things to consider

£21k - £25k PLUS £1,500 incentive payment on completion of the apprenticeship.

40 hours for individuals aged 16-17.

45-48 hours for individuals aged 18+.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
