Assisting the Security Engineers with the installation, maintenance and commissioning of systems including Intruder Alarm, CCTV both mobile and static systems, Fire and Access control in accordance with Standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Installation of IP and analogue CCTV, using POE or wiring 12/24V PSU’s depending on the systems
- Installation of data/extra low voltage cables incorporating correct segregation/ containment procedures
- Termination of network cabling
- Commissioning CCTV, Intruder systems and access control equipment as per current standards
- Collating relevant paperwork as per industry standards for adopted/installed systems
- Configuration of the equipment detection utilising analytics and conventional motion detection, managing false alarms
- Linking CCTV to ARC (alarm receiving station) for offsite monitoring
- Testing battery voltages on Rapid Deployment Towers (battery powered/Hydrogen fuelled)
- Faulting finding on temporary and permanent systems including testing cables continuity, voltage, and currents
- Servicing of systems as per company standards
- Use of MEWPS (Once IPAF Certified)
- Configuration of wired/wireless networks
- System Design
Installation/servicing of intruder alarms and intercom:
- Installation of both wired and wireless systems
- Servicing of intruder systems as per company standards
- Fault finding on intruder systems
- Testing batteries for voltage and Ah following a discharge test using a calibrated testing equipment
- Linking the systems to automatic gates
- Configuration of systems as per industry standards and client needs
