- Learn and develop at all times. Listen, question, understand and improve personal skill and value to the company.
- Understand and strictly operate to company ISO 9001 and 14001 accredited standards and procedures
- Strictly adhere to company health & safety procedures and guidelines
- Report all deviations and non-conformances through the defined channels
- Lead production quality control processes. Liaise with Production Manager to review quality performance and agree improvement activity
- Execute metal surface treatment processes required to meet customer requirements
- Adhere to company procedures for controlling the throughput of customer components. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all processes and paperwork. Report all deviations and non-conformances
- Constantly aim improve processes and remove waste
- Liaise with Production Manager to agree production plans to maximise throughput, reduce lead times and exceed customer requirements
- Operate safely and effectively within the workshop when developing and manufacturing jigs and fixtures. When competent, take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and housekeeping of the workshop area
- Manufacture of jigs for sub-contract and engineering departments when required
Critically, demonstrate competence for technical process engineering jobs within the electropolishing department. eg Large Vessels which will include liaison with engineering, sales and production departments relating to:
- Customer’s requirements regarding surface finish, quality, and delivery
- Jigging and fixture requirements
- Logistics of handling, processing and manpower/capacity required
- Identify quality/production issues and lead the containment and improvement of issues
- Develop a sound understanding of the Production Managers duties and become competent in providing cover (holidays etc) as and when required
- Work flexible and modified hours in-line with business and customer requirements
- Train and become competent as relief Chemical Mixer Cover
- Stay away from home as and when required for customer onsite working
- Complete required equipment checks/maintenance work as required by Quality/
- Environmental/Health & Safety Management processes and procedures
- Manage waste streams including waste segregation requirements
- General duties as required within a SME business
