The candidate will have an enthusiasm for working in a busy Engineering workshop, as part of a small team or on their own. We cover a wide range over components, differing is size/ complexity, all manufactured or repaired to a high standard.

Tasks will include the basics of keeping the work area tidy, using hand tools, basic tool room machining (turning, milling, pillar drills etc..), and forming shapes with copper tube and oxy/acetylene torches, building assemblies to engineering drawings.

Also brazing copper parts together is a large part of our work, to make tubing joints with silver rods for electrical contact, and also watertight (as lots of our pieces are water cooled, check out for a better oversight of what our company manufactures).

There will also be opportunity to travel within the UK and Europe on occasion, to carry out work at our customer’s site.

Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, which includes

  • Functional Skills if required 

Internal training with constant supervision given. Full training and support. External trainer conducts onsite training in H&S and Risk assessments.

You will be required to attend LEMA Academy for 1 day a week and occasional block weeks. 

During this time, you will complete your Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering on a Technical Support Technician Engineering Apprenticeship.
