Role: Commis Chef

You will be working alongside our Taste Director Chef Valentina during day to day service but should also be capable of running the kitchen autonomously after some time. Your duties will include

  • developing new dishes together with a (combinations, decoration etc) an awareness of the Hotel  landscape.
  • We are a small team working to build the reputation of a young restaurant, so willingness to work as a team & help to drive the business forward is as important as being able to cook.

  • Experience in HACCP procedures & general kitchen admin (stocktakes, logging invoices, ordering) would be extremely beneficial
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene

  • Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
  • Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
  • The ideal candidate will have a 'can do' attitude, be able to adhere to company standards regarding safe working practices and regulations, must be flexible in their approach to work and have the drive to want to be the best they can

The candidate will follow a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full Level 2 NVQ Commis Chef.  This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West.
