The candidate’s daily focus will be on marketing however, with a small organisational structure, each employee steps into multiple roles and is reactive to the business operation. Business administration duties will therefore also form part of the job role.

The role will include tasks such as:

  • Copy writing / PR (editorials, advertisements)
  • Creating e-shots and sending to potential customers
  • Social media activity (posting, monitoring, promoting) 
  • Updating the company’s website
  • Content creation
  • Secondary market research
  • Product research and reporting
  • Answering phones and assisting with other office duties

  • Computer literate

Personal qualities

An enthusiastic, mature individual who can work both independently and as part of a team. A passion for marketing is desirable. Whilst engineering qualifications are not required, an interest / appreciation for engineering would also be beneficial to the role.

Desired qualifications

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.

GCSE qualification in Business Studies (or equivalent).

Future prospects

Subject to performance over the apprenticeship, a full-time role is to be offered. This will depend on the state of business and whether the company can afford and justify the role at the time.

Things to consider

The role will mostly be computer / desk based in an office shared by others. Whilst public transport does run past the industrial estate, timings of the transport are not frequent. Own transport is therefore desired.

In 2013, Croft invested into Additive Manufacturing (metal 3D printing), specifically Selective Laser Melting (SLM) the process of creating a 3-dimensional component in a series of metal powder layers. The technology allows Croft to develop new filter designs that overcome conventional restrictions.

The same year Croft’s sister company Croft Additive Manufacturing Limited was established to provide non-filtration components to various industries.
