We are looking for an Apprentice to provide support with a variety of administration tasks within a college environment. You will assist with the recording and monitoring of paperwork, raising queries on outstanding issues, following relevant processes and policies and processing enrolments on to the college data system.

You will be working within a team of 4 Management Information Systems (MIS) Officers and the Assistant Individualised Learner Record (ILR) and Funding Manager to ensure the smooth running of processes and procedures.

Main Duties:

  • Maintain the database for receiving student enrolments
  • Chase outstanding enrolments from all college sites
  • Process Partnership enrolments into the data system
  • Liaise with Partners on enrolment queries
  • Process student achievements timely into the data system
  • Process student withdrawals timely into the data system
  • Filing of college enrolment forms
  • Send and reply to email enquiries
  • Respond to staff queries via phone, email and face-to-face
  • Take messages as required
  • Book rooms for team meetings
  • Take minutes of team meetings
  • Keep notice boards tidy and display new notices when required
  • Running reports using in-house computer software
  • Helping other areas during busy periods (such as enrolment)
  • Other tasks as deemed suitable for this role

You are expected to dress appropriately for the role, which is smart, professional.  From time to time, you may be asked to work in other parts of the College including enrolments and with open events.  You may also need to move between centres.
