Main tasks and Duties:

  • Understand how pupils learn and develop
  • Work with teachers to understand and support assessments for learning
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure own contribution aligns with their teaching practices
  • Help with developing working strategies for support activities
  • Effectively support teaching staff to deliver the best possible education to pupils
  • Assist in the preparation of resources
  • Help develop positive relationships and act as a role model to others at all times
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents and work colleagues. Ensure the provision of a high quality teaching environment to meet the needs of a individual pupil.
  • Ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
  • Support Sports Coaching Team with curriculum delivery

  • This apprenticeship can count as the first year of a full degree and Bridgwater and Taunton College is looking to provide an opportunity for successful candidates to progress to the College's BSc Sports Science and Coaching degree
