This opportunity is to support the business and its customers in IT advice and guidance, answering support calls and to manage response times, assisting the IT team.

Duties are listed below, and this list is not exhaustive:

  • Answer and support customer and client queries on incoming calls and emails, working towards the businesses service levels
  • Entering data into the support desk and assisting the technical team to manage response times according to service level agreements
  • Taking responsibility for resolving first line queries (including but not exhaustive to):  password resets, creating new mailboxes and first line hardware/software diagnostics
  • Site visits with large customers where applicable
  • Attending IT meetings
  • Attending relevant in-house and external product training, including the businesses own cloud solution software and using other Microsoft products such as: Office 365 and SharePoint

IT Solutions Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

The Level 3 IT Solutions Technician programme is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to develop, implement and maintain complete IT solutions, including their hardware infrastructure. IT Solutions Technicians apply a professional methodology or framework to gather and analyse the requirements in order to design, develop, test and implement the most appropriate IT solutions.

This programme offers two pathways that provide the underpinning knowledge and skills in either a Hardware Solutions role or a Software Solutions role.

The structured part of your apprenticeship training will be provided by JBC Skills Training, we are a specialist technical IT training provider.

You will also learn on-the-job, working alongside experienced colleagues.
