Our products and services span a wide range of industries, so once you are ready you can expect to be involved in the creation, development and maintenance of a range of applications operating in industries such as: insurance, hospitality, local government, non-profit and charitable, retail and of course our own internal and external facing systems.

As we gain traction with our products and platforms, we're constantly looking for ways to improve and new opportunities to take the company to the next level. You'll be using the latest stacks and learning from a tight knit team who've been there and done it all at the top level. We're proud of the work we do at Hut Forty-Two and want hungry and passionate individuals to join us on our journey to become the main provider of software in our niche markets.

You'll be working within a team of 10-12 individuals who are all engaged in our products and able to provide advice and support as you develop your skills. You will also work alongside the other teams in the business who will provide feedback and suggestions to how best your work can integrate with their own. You will be assigned a mentor who will not only support you with your work but will review your code and provide suggestions and learning resources which will help you to continually evolve your skills.

As a company we are happy to support the process of formal qualifications for employees who have excelled and who can demonstrate that they are committed to the long-term success of the business. Our long-term goal is to develop all of our people throughout their journey with the business, and so those who work hard and excel are always rewarded with progression opportunities which only improve as the business expands.

As an Apprentice in our Data Services Development Team, you'll spend your time working on our API driven data services, which form the backbone of our products, in-house developments, and our support of large partners. A typical working day will involve the creation of applications and features based on requirements, integrating with third party web services, providing documentation to our Application Development team, creating tests and fixing bugs, as well as planning new features and releasing new versions of our products.
