Business Administration Apprentice Kent Flush Doors & Joinery Ltd
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic new Apprentice Business Administrator, your role will include assisting with a range of office duties including: filing, answering phones, entering new jobs, raising & matching purchase orders, and keeping price lists updated.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
Total hours per week: 41.50
(the hours are based on the candidate being over 18)

Level 3 (A level)
The role will be to support the office manager and office administrator to ensure the smooth running of the office, main duties will include:
- Answering the phone
- Taking messages
- Filing & scanning
- Using in house data base, used for raising jobs
- Purchasing duties
- Creating of delivery notes and invoicing
- Maintaining price lists
- Scheduling deliveries
- Keeping the office tidy
Full training and support will be provided on all of the above and the candidate may be involved in a variety of alternative projects, as required.
Requirements and prospects
- Computer skills – Excel and Word
- Polite, well mannered personality
- High level of commitment
- Willingness to learn
Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) grade C/4 or above in English and maths.
Continued full time employment within the company.
Things to consider
Need to be able to get to us as we are not on a bus route or near to a train station.
Applicants aged 16-18 will be provided with extra breaks as they are only able to work 40 hours per week.

The responsibilities of the role are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.
The business administrator is expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. The business administrator is also expected to show initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.
For this standard, learners can benefit from the completion of the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration and so the apprentice will be required to undertake knowledge tests within this qualification and build a portfolio of evidence that will prepare the learner for Gateway once agreed between the employer, apprentice and trainer to prepare for End Point Assessment.
