This role will give the right candidate the opportunity to work within a busy workshop, assisting with the following; making handmade curtains, roman blinds, cushions and a variety of other soft furnishings, making uniforms, clothes alterations, including the cutting, machining and final touches.

Team member in busy workshop, assisting with making bespoke soft furnishings, uniforms, clothes alterations. There will also be the opportunity to serve customers, and assist with visiting customers houses to help with measuring up and design ideas. They will be required to keep a clean and tidy workspace. There will also be the opportunity to interact with customers, within the shop and at their homes when measuring and fitting products that they have been involved with producing.

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE Grades A-D or 8-4 and above in maths and English Apprentices without English and mathematics at level 1 must achieve this level and apprentices without level 2 English and mathematics must take the tests for level 2 prior to taking their EPA. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeships English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3. British Sign Language qualification is an alternative to English qualifications for those whom this is their primary language
