The Dulux Academy is the home of painting and decorating excellence. Here a team of leading industry experts deliver courses that increase knowledge and understanding enabling professional decorators to meet their career ambitions.

As Painting & Decorating Apprentice you will develop your skills as duties may include:

  • Repairing surfaces used within the Academy including stripping wallpaper, basic filling and sanding
  • You will also prepare training resources including application of coatings on doors, boards and within the Academy training rooms and room sets
  • You will use spray painting equipment, maintain tools and equipment
  • Monitor stock levels and place reorders
  • The ability to work safely is of the highest importance

Have the potential skills of doing a proper paint job (all-round painter);

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Able to handle according to Health and Safety rules
  • Ability to handle multiple workstreams

Desired qualifications

GCSE Level – maths and English level 4/C or above or equivalent.

Future prospects

Would start as a permanent position although subject to probationary review and satisfactory performance and successfully completing the apprenticeship program.
