Woking as part of a small team, you will learn all aspects of the large format digital print operator role from pre-press through to finishing.  In addition to this you will learn about what happens to the prints once they leave the studio and the wider exhibition industry.

Key aspects of the role involve:

  • Setting up and running print projects.
  • Assistance with maintaining stock levels.
  • Cutting and finishing.
  • Daily cleaning and maintenance of machinery and workshop.

We will build your understanding of the following:

  • All aspects of the print industry included different print methods, substrates and finishes.
  • Operating a digital printer, plotter and laminator.
  • Using Rip software.
  • Detailing, finishing and trimming etc.
  • Organisation of a busy workshop.
  • Use of creative software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
