  • Greet all guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • To prepare the restaurant in accordance with standards.
  • Ensure the tables are laid according to standards.
  • Check cleanliness of utensils and condiments before placing on tables.
  • Ensure sauces/accompaniments are fresh and served in appropriate dispensers.
  • Obtain dish availability information.
  • Ensure customers’ orders are clearly and accurately taken.
  • Seat guests at the appropriate table and issue correct menus for the session, ensuring that the menus are in a clean and hygienic condition.
  • Serve food and drink orders promptly.
  • Ensure food and drink orders are served to the customer in accordance with procedures.
  • Offer and serve correct accompaniments to guests.
  • Actively sell all restaurant products throughout the service period.
  • All guests’ complaints/compliments to be reported to Restaurant Manager and/or Duty Manager.
  • Remove from the table, without inconveniencing the guest, all unwanted cutlery, crockery and glassware.
  • Ask guests, within 3 minutes of them receiving their main meals, if they are enjoying their meal.
  • Carry out all services, i.e., coffee service, cheese service etc.
  • On guests’ departure thank them for dining with us and encourage a return visit.
  • Ensure that the restaurant is cleared at the end of the session, leaving it clean and prepared for next session.
  • Ensure that all accidents are reported immediately to the Restaurant Manager and/or Duty Manager.
  • Ensure all health & safety, hygiene and fire regulations are complied with.
  • Attend any training sessions as requested.
  • Assist with the smooth running of the department by carrying out specific duties as requested by the Restaurant Manager and/or Duty Manager.
  • To undertake such other duties as may be requested to ensure the overall smooth running of the department.
