We are an embryo transfer and artificial insemination clinic based just outside Theale, Reading.

We are recruiting for an equine groom to assist in looking after the horses that we currently have in our care as numbers increase over the coming weeks.

We have stallions, pregnant mares and mares with foals at foot, broodmares, donor mares and mares for foaling down arriving in 2022.

Daily duties will include:

  • Mucking out
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay-nets
  • Off-site
  • Field checks
  • General maintenance and occasionally transporting horses

Opportunities available to be involved in veterinary care and offering support to the veterinary team during breeding procedures. This is a full time position (number of days per week be discussed and
decided as suits)

  • Confidence around horses. Applicant must have previous experience around horses and details MUST be shown on application

  • Candidate must NOT already holdy hold a level 2 or higher in Horse Care. 

Future prospects

  • Skills learned with Equibreed could take you on to Yard Management, stud work and exposure into the world of the veterinary side of Equines

Things to consider

  • This is a labour intensive role, you will be working in all weathers and on your feet for the majority of the day
