Responsibilities will include:

  • Implement and promote all Nursery Policies and procedures
  • Undertake a proactive key person role and build positive relationships with parents/carers and other professionals to support individual needs of every child effectively deliver the Early Years foundation stage in line with current practice and guidelines
  • Provide a secure, caring, and friendly stimulating educational environment
  • To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Ensure children’s records are kept up to date
  • Act as a positive practice role model to ensure that the nursery values are maintained.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times
  • Ensure that all rooms and outside areas are clean and tidy after use
  • Liaise with parents and carers, keeping them informed of activities
  • Be sensitive and responsive to the needs of children, parents, and carers as well as other members of staff
  • Work as part of a team
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents
  • Support a commitment to the theory and practice of equal opportunities.
  • Feedback any issues or opportunities identified around the site that could impact on the quality of care provided
  • Support the team in the upkeep of base rooms, displays resources etc
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times and ensure confidentiality is maintained
  • Be aware of the high reputation and uphold its standards
  • Attend and participate in out of work activities e.g. parents evenings, staff meetings
