Reporting to the HR Manager and having responsibility for their own contracts, the apprentices will be responsible for carrying out the following duties, although this list is not exhaustive:

  • Liaising with employees, suppliers and customers over the telephone and via email
  • Recruitment to include creating and posting adverts, checking CV’s, conducting RTW (right to work) checks, assisting with carrying out interviews, collating personnel records and verifying references
  • Creating and maintaining various Excel spreadsheets in relation to performance and attendance
  • Data entry

  • Be proficient in Excel
  • Have a practical approach to their workload
  • Have attention for detail
  • Be able to work under their own initiative and manage their time productively when working to tight deadlines

Personal qualities

  • Have a professional and courteous telephone manner
  • Be flexible with regards to their working hours

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE (or equivalent) grades 9-4 (A*-C) in maths and English desirable but not essential

Future prospects

  • After completing a successful apprenticeship, we would like to offer the apprentice a permanent contract with Driving Edge which will provide them with the opportunity to have a long and rewarding career with our company and one that offers them the ability to “move up through the ranks”

  • The environment in which the apprentice will be working is a very busy environment, where everyone will be expected to answer a high volume of telephone calls each day whilst still carrying out their daily work schedule
