Duties may include:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the reception area
  • Act as the first point of contact answering patient queries face to face and over the phone
  • Deal with prescription requests
  • Book appointments
  • Scanning and photocopying
  • You need to be flexible in your availability to work extra hours when needed to cover staff leave and sickness and you must understand the importance of confidentiality and be able to work under pressure
  • You will also have the opportunity to learn all administration functions and also be required to complete a number of internal training courses as and when required
