Novo Farina Ltd is a forward-thinking exciting business. They are looking for a Production Apprentice to join their team and develop into a key part of their operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn many food production skills in the plant-based and free-from sectors. The successful applicant will work closely with the production team to gain an in-depth knowledge of the key processes.

Key duties:

Production will involve:

  • Understanding the different production processes
  • Working on the processing of flour and production of plant-based goods
  • Preparing pallets for despatch
  • Understanding the production equipment
  • Routine maintenance and cleaning
  • Learn to drive fork lift, loading /unloading lorries
  • Order fulfilment preparing goods for despatch and completing appropriate documentation

Quality Control will involve:

  • Checking samples of raw materials and Novo Farina products, for a range of quality criteria
  • Recording the results and highlighting any areas of failure
  • Organising samples for routine lab testing

There will also be the chance to gain industry specific qualifications along with Food Hygiene and HACCP.

  • Potential full-time employment on completion of apprenticeship

Things to consider

  • This role may require a certain amount of physical work
  • A driving license would be desirable but not essential
  • Production will involve some weekend work
