As one of the areas leading IT support companies, Advanced IT need customer focused individuals to ensure that their clients IT systems remain functional and secure at all times.

This will be a great opportunity to join a small professional team and develop IT and communication skills as you work towards achieving your apprenticeship.

 Typical daily tasks include:

  • The provision of first line technical and operational support to all external client schools and commercial customers
  • Execute ‘Helpdesk’ tasks and faults ensuring adequate systems delivery and problem resolution within agreed timescales
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance of ICT
  • Performing computer updates and replacements as directed
  • The installation and configuration of all PC workstations and associated software packages as directed
  • Occasionally assisting with the provision of technical support to the school
  • Taking responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children and young people in school

This role will require managing your daily diary effectively to accommodate routine tasks and ad-hoc technical issues.

Requirements and prospects

  • Must have strong communication skills and confident in face to face situations
  • Technically aware
  • Ideally, strong awareness of Microsoft packages and operating system

  • Passion for “ all things IT”

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE maths and English grades C/4 or above or equivalent
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Technology qualification an advantage

  • Progression beyond the apprenticeship
