Advanced Apprentice Nursery Assistant Little Angels
An exciting employment opportunity has arisen at Little Angels - Aveley. You will be working with children age 6 months to 5 years old. You will be employed as an Apprentice and will undertake your Advanced L3 training within this friendly and experienced team. This opportunity will enable you to develop your knowledge and skills in childcare.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

This opportunity will enable you to develop your knowledge and skills in childcare.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Learn and understand the purpose of a childcare setting, making sure children are looked after
- Work in a team
- Keep children active, happy and nourished
- Help children develop social and practical skills
Our Apprenticeship gives people a fulfilling opportunity to work with children while gaining an understanding of the ‘how’s’ and ‘whys’ of their development. Our Apprentices spend 18 months working under supervision putting theory into practice to gain an advanced level qualification.

Once you have successfully completed your level 3 apprenticeship our intention is to further develop your career prospects through continued internal and external training in childcare and for you to progress within the team.

DBS Check is mandatory.
About the employer
Our nursery in Aveley is based in the Discovery Children's Centre and is part of the extended services programme provided in conjunction with Thurrock Borough Council.
The centre opened in July 2006 and as well as full day care, pre-school and after school provisions, there are various groups and clubs operating from the two community rooms, as well as parent craft and ante-natal classes.

This opportunity will enable you to develop your knowledge and skills in child care. Our Apprentices learn and understand the purpose of a childcare setting making sure children are looked after, kept active, happy and nourished. They also help children develop social and practical skills. Our apprenticeship gives people a fulfilling opportunity to work with children, while gaining an understanding into the ‘how’s’ and ‘whys’ of their development. Our apprentices spend 18 months working under supervision putting theory in to practice to gain an advanced level qualification.
