Dental Nurse Apprentice Tupsley Dental Practice

You will be working alongside dentists and hygienists, keeping clinical areas clean and sterile, provide chairside assistance and ensure the care and welfare of our patients in a friendly and helpful manner. Reception duties and cover shifts on the busy front desk, answering phone calls, screening patients, and booking treatments.

Nursing duties:

  • Keeping clinical areas clean, tidy and sterile
  • Working alongside dentists and hygienists
  • Responsible for setting up the surgery
  • Accurately completing patient clinical records
  • Be familiar and complying with all H&S rules and guidance including PPE, COSHH, infection control, waste disposal etc.
  • Complying with all confidentiality policies, consent policies and GDPR

Reception duties:

  • Greeting patients and booking them in using the dental software
  • Answering the telephone in accordance with our customer service policies
  • Making and altering patient appointments
  • Making phone calls to patients to perform health screening prior to their appointments
  • Filing medical history forms
  • Taking payments over the counter for treatment
  • Learning about the patient dental plans we offer and be able to speak to patients about them

About the employer

We are a well-established, private, general and referral dental practice at the top of Aylestone Hill in Hereford offering preventative dentistry, denture treatment, dental crown preparation and fitting, and veneers. In addition, we offer a range of cosmetic dental treatments ranging from safe and effective teeth whitening, to white composite fillings and porcelain inlays. Our referral service is available for general dental practices to refer patients to us who require Dental Implants or Root Canal treatment to restore their smile. We are a busy Practice that puts patients first in everything we do.
