We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to be trained up by our Director to be a quality assurance consultant (and potentially health and safety too.

We aim to train one lucky candidate to work alongside the Director daily. This will consist of going to a different site every day across the country, mostly a vehicle dealership or vehicle repair (such as Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Mercedes and BMW) to assist the client to implement key brand standards and pass manufacturer audits.

The role will consist of working in all departments of a Volkswagen/Audi/Skoda car/commercial vehicle dealership alongside the Director to ensure the site have the correct requirements in place to pass a brand standards audit.

We work to a document which has all requirements listed:

  • Areas cover, quality checks of vehicles, customer complaints, customer feedback, jobcards, sales, parts and aftersales core processes, tooling, calibration of equipment, quality policies, meeting minutes, housekeeping, point of sale materials, staff training and much more
  • You will be fully involved in the day to day relationship, managing the delivery of audit requirements against an audit document
  • You will be required to maintain clear project plans detailing specific requirements, delivery timelines and success criteria
  • This is an extremely important role in the business and we touch every area of the business. The objective is that once trained you will go out to site independently and train clients in audit requirements and complete relevant documents
  • You will be expected to take notes and support the Director
  • The role we are looking to fill can be as varied as our new team member chooses to make it, we are a busy and diverse company that deals with a vast range of services

Please note in order to be considered for this vacancy, you must be a driver with access to your own transport and willing to travel as a part of your day to day role (mileage covered by the employer). The nature of the role requires the individual to travel (up to 150 mile radius) in order to visit different sites therefore, a driving licence/access to your own transport is essential. Employer will support with other associated driving costs such as insurance (to be discussed at interview).

Desired skills

  • We are looking for a self-motivated, preferably industry experienced individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You will be a good administrator and have a reasonable level of IT understanding, with a good working knowledge of MS Office being essential. You must be confident and comfortable in a variety of business situations, in particular in dealing with people from all levels of an organisation
  • You will also be politically aware and be able to balance the needs and priorities of both the customer and the company
  • You must have a UK valid driving licence, reliable vehicle and be able to drive yourself up to an 150 mile radius
  • Attention to detail is critical therefore you must be focused and prepared to check every detail repeatedly to ensure it is correct
  • Positive, hardworking and hands on attitude is necessary. Willing to go the extra mile and always deliver. Failure is not an option
  • If you have experience of health and safety this would also be beneficial
  • Overnight stays will occasionally be required, but always agreeable in advance
  • Potential to work weekends is available with additional pay; this will also always be agreed in advance
  • Timekeeping is imperative

Personal qualities

Self-motivated, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Desired qualifications

At least 5 GCSE’s grade 9-4/A*-C or equivalent.

Future prospects

  • We are looking to engage with someone who can start to grasp the core ideas of the company and grow in knowledge and confidence with a view to fully embrace the opportunities that the apprenticeship provides
  • Once the apprenticeship has been completed we would hope to be able to offer the correct candidate a permanent position to continue to grow with  the company and reach whatever stage of employment they choose
  • Plenty of room to expand in this role and progress
  • Full onsite training will be provided by the Director
  • KPIs will be set to encourage your fast progression and financial renumeration
  • Full training and support will be given
  • There will be a three - five-year plan created to enable the successful candidate to become a Senior Consultant in future and train new staff
