  • The apprentice will also be a key team player within our Front of House teams - Hospitality Team Member serving customers both food and beverages refreshments/ menus within our Team room, restaurant and bar
  • Meet and greet customers that visit The Exchange
  • Follow safe working practices using the new service App serving customers with various food and drink menus
  • Providing scheduled housekeeping/cleaning routines onsite
  • Till service and afternoon teas and bistro restaurant bookings
  • Carrying out stock take and orders with suppliers
  • Working closely with colleagues including the food/drinks preparation teams
  • Also, the apprentice will gain experience with our special events that are held onsite throughout the year

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • A hard-working flexible team player with a great work ethic
  • Good level of communication skills both written and verbal
  • A real passion for delighting your customers and providing a positive experience
  • Some experience with food and drinks service will be a great advantage, although is not essential as will be fully-trained
  • The ability to work independently and be a team player

  • Is personable, has a can-do attitude, is friendly, trustworthy, passionate for food & drinks service and is energetic

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE passes in English and maths, grades A*-D/9-3

Future prospects

  • The Exchange is an established hospitality business and there will be opportunities to progress into a senior position within for the right applicant

Things to consider

  • Uniform is provided
  • Occasional split shifts, however, the employer will take into consideration transport/ travel to work arrangements therefore regular straight shifts would be provided
  • The venue is located in the town centre of March access to public transport

  • Work-based Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship
  • The apprentice would be assigned an assessor through the College, who would typically come out to visit in the workplace to assess workplace competence
  • The knowledge side would be provided via an online portal VLE (Virtual Learning Environment), and assignments/evidence of work/portfolio would be checked via an online Smart Assessor
  • If required Functional Skills will be embedded into the Apprenticeship
