The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following:

  • To provide the highest standards of retail customer service
  • To work within timeframes and deadlines to meet customer bespoke requests
  • To undertake monetary responsibilities, including cash handling
  • To ensure that health and safety and security measures are constantly maintained
  • Work with different technologies and software to aid in the smooth running of the business, including website updates, social media content and electronic sales
  • Provide customers with knowledge and understanding of a variety of products and services available through the company
  • Work positively as part of a whole team, using initiative, sharing information and being flexible whenever necessary
  • Work with a range of clients who have a diverse range of needs
  • To work in close partnership and to develop and maintain good relationships with
  • To attend ALL activities, e.g. training, staff meetings, days, events etc.

We are keen to train and help the candidate become successful in a retail career and we would look at funding to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

Alongside their apprenticeship there would also be the potential opportunity to undertake qualifications such as Safeguarding, Employability Skills and First Aid.

Futureworks NY CIC a non-for-profit company that has been in business for 10 years. We are a small local training provider based in Scarborough working with the community with clients aged 15+ This position would be for our retail shop which sells upcycled furniture and accessories.
