We have an exciting opportunity to expand the team and invite caring individuals interested in an apprenticeship in Health & Social Care to work with us and make a difference to someone's day.

Morning, evening and weekend shifts are available within Grantham and surrounding areas.

Shift pattern flexibility available.

As a Home Care Assistant, your responsibilities will be supporting clients to remain independent in their own homes. You will provide varying types of support to clients, depending on their needs.  This can include:

  • Personal Care (assistance with washing/bathing/dressing)
  • Medication prompting & recording
  • Food preparation
  • Companion Service 
  • Shopping
  • Accompanying to appointments
  • Domestic chores
  • Recording and maintaining client documents

No experience necessary, full comprehensive induction and training provided.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Full training will be given but all apprentices will need to have a good standard of written English and maths due to the nature of the job role.  Some skills in ICT would be beneficial.

  • Full training will be given and a mentor will be allocated to support with the level 2.

Future prospects

There are opportunities to progress within the company to Assistant Senior Carers and Senior Home Care Assistants, managing your own team.  There are also opportunities to train and become specialised within different areas of Health & Social Care.

  • Increased hourly pay for those undertaking and completing Level 2 in Health & Social care

Things to consider

  • Granthem area - within a 10 mile radius.  Apprentice must be a car driver with their own transport.
