Based at the Head Office on City Road in Bradford, you will be part of the accounts team that manages the back-office accounting systems across a range of depots throughout the north of England.

The position offers opportunity to work with both Sage and Merlin accounting systems with full training provided.

During your apprenticeship you will carry out the following tasks:

  • Sales ledger postings
  • Purchase ledger postings
  • Cash and bank reconciliations
  • Stock reconciliations and reporting.
  • Maintaining paper filing systems.
  • Providing sales, debtor and creditor reports to management

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • IT Skills with a working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Numeracy, accuracy, and great customer service skills

  • Keen to learn new skills and a pro-active approach to work
  • Polite and courteous in person and over the telephone
  • Possess good attention to detail and take pride in work undertaken
  • Able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively, with the ability to listen and interpret instructions

Desired qualifications

Maths and English GCSE grades A*-C or 9-4 or equivalent.
