Duties will include:

  • Ensure a high level of service is maintained in all dealings with customers and suppliers
  • Receiving and handling incoming calls
  • Day to day administration around stock management/despatch and quality systems of the business
  • Processing of paperwork in line with company procedures and customer requirements
  • Filing and archiving of paperwork
  • Follow all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental procedures whilst performing duties
  • Undertake general office duties as required such as preparing/typing purchase orders and processing and emailing of Invoices
  • Other duties to effectively plan and organise the smooth running of the office and related operations

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • IT literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good inter-personal skills to work effectively with other individuals
  • Good communication skills, with a good telephone manner

  • Very high attention to detail is required
  • A willingness to learn and develop a career based in engineering steels
  • The ability to be proactive and use initiative
  • Plans and prioritises work

Desired qualifications

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.
