We are looking for a passionate individual to complement our small nursery team of practitioners. The role will include supporting children 3months – 5 years with aspects of their learning and development, through observations and planning for their development.

You will be passionate about working with children and promoting their best outcomes. You will plan activities, support with self-care, build relationships with parents and nurture children.

Community complex and access to facilities and activities, including staff discounts available around the complex and at the nursery.

A normal day would include:

  • Supporting children with mealtimes
  • Setting and planning the room with activities linked to children’s needs and interest
  • Active outdoor play
  • Supporting at sleep times
  • Ensuring the room is safe from hazards
  • Writing observations about children’s learning and development

Our setting is supportive of internal growth and will support staff with a keen interest in development. We want to upskill our team and support staff training and development. We recognise good practice and reward this.

About the employer

The nursery is a small 53 place nursery based in a community hub. The nursery opened in 2017 as part of a community initiative to provide a number of services under one hub. The nursery is Ofsted rated ‘Good’. We are linked to our second setting close by and both teams work closely together, sharing practice and knowledge.
