Duties will include:

  • Assemble stocked component into finished assemblies complying with prescribed works instructions and work schedules
  • Carry out the required testing procedures in compliance with the company quality and relevant standards, complete test certificates
  • Develop product knowledge to ensure and advise upon component compatability and produce a product that is FFP
  • Use of various machinery and hand tools during assembly process with adherance to mandatory pre use checks on any equipment used
  • Ensure that fault and failure reporting throughout the workplace is carried out
  • To follow all mandatory H&S requirements, guidelines & recommendations to ensure a safe working environment all times
  • To ensure the working environment is kept tidy & presentable for H&S purposes and customer visits
  • Maintaining accurate stock records, including general warehousing
  • Ability to adapt to workload and customer demand changes quickly

Future plans would be to expand on these to encompass the unified role of Warehouse/workroom Operative to include the below-

  • To receive and book in goods following prescribed procedures, ensuring correct delivery quantities and products
  • To ensure the accurate put away of product to the correct storage location
  • To pick and pack customer orders following standard procedures in an accurate and timely manner
  • To accurately cut hose to the measured length requiered, recording short length details

  • Adaptability. This is a varied and fluid role encompassing several different skill sets. The individual we take on must be able to grasp the basics of each operation quickly if they wish to progress at a reasonable rate

Desired qualifications

  • GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English are desirable but not essential

Future prospects

  • Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there will be a full-time position available for the right candidate to grow within the organisation
