Beaconplus is a young and growing company, which offers plenty of scope for progression.

The successful candidate will initially embark on an IT User/Specialist Apprenticeship, initial duties will include:

  • Working bespoke company software
  • Entering financial data onto computer
  • Providing management reporting stats when requested
  • Analysing bespoke and spreadsheet data
  • Liaising with intercompany departments
  • Communicating internally, occasional via tele & email
  • Helping to resolve client account issues
  • Occasional Filing
  • Answering telephone

Dependent on the performance and following the successful completion of the apprenticeship process, the job role may be expanded with a wage rate being significantly increased.

The majority of the staff that the company have employed via the apprenticeship scheme has been offered permanent jobs and has progressed onto the NVQ level 3 qualification.

Future prospects

Full time position considered for the right person following successful completion of the apprenticeship process based on company finances at the time.

Things to consider

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
