We are looking for an Apprentice Butcher to work 39 hours 5 days a week including Saturdays (hours can be negotiable.) They will be trained in all aspects of meat industry etc. Duties/tasks you will carry out are sausage making, carcase break down to saleable product, value added preparation and serving all roles within the shop itself really, including hygiene.

Future prospects

We are looking for a new team member, this is a long term training position with a view to full time employment at the end of training for the right candidate.

Things to consider

It is hard work, will involve working Saturdays, your days off will be Sunday and Monday. It can be physically demanding, in winter it is a cold environment to work in. Butchery is a skills shortage so if you are proficient and qualified you can earn a good living.


About the employer

We are famers and butchers producing the beef for the shop.  We are looking for a team member in our butchery.  Our team in the shop currently is two fulltime butchers, two full time staff serving and a third part time on a Saturday.
